Meet at the Mediatheque on the ground floor

The National Film Board of Canada invites you to visit its new facility in downtown Toronto, the NFB Mediatheque. This exciting new space puts the NFB collection at the user's finger tips, offering access to over 1,000 NFB films, including many selections from the NFB's rich and vast archives. The viewing experience is state-of-the-art in custom designed Personal Viewing Stations. The NFB collection is growing every day and will ultimately offer access to over 7,000 original productions, ranging from archival materials to the most recent documentary and animation productions. The NFB Mediatheque also offers educational workshops for all ages, an intimate theatre space and a variety of other services.

Opening Night Reception
6:00pm - Sheridan College

The Toronto Section of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) has kindly offered to co-host the JTS Opening Night Reception as part of their Annual Summer BBQ Dinner Meeting on Wednesday June 23, 2004. This will be an excellent opportunity for JTS attendees to meet and interact with local Toronto SMPTE members. The reception will be held at Sheridan College's Trafalgar Road Campus.

The Animation Program at Sheridan College is known the world over for its creative excellence. As an added bonus at the reception, Sheridan Alumni will be available to take JTS attendees on tours of the Animation, Design and Emerging Technology buildings.

Evening festivities will begin at 6:30pm and conclude about 9:30pm. Catering is provided and sponsored by Carolyn Kinzie of Masstech Group.
